Best for: Most properties

Wire runs around your entire property—front yard, back yard, and side yards. Your dog has full access to roam everywhere within the boundary. This is our most popular layout and works for any lot shape—square, L-shaped, or irregular.

Best for: Properties with pools, gardens, or off-limits areas

Full perimeter coverage with specific areas blocked off inside your yard. Keep your dog out of the vegetable garden, away from the pool, or off the kids' play structure.

Front and back yards are separate zones with side yards blocked. Your dog can only move between zones by going through the house. Great for controlling when your dog has front yard access.

We use 16-gauge direct-burial wire with a heavy insulation jacket—the same commercial-grade wire professional installers use. DIY kits typically use thinner 20-gauge wire that's more prone to breakage.

Proper Burial Depth

Our commercial trenching equipment buries wire about 4 inches deep in typical conditions, and up to 6 inches in wet or sandy areas. This protects the wire from lawnmowers, aerators, foot traffic, and accidental digging.

Clean Driveway Crossings

Where wire crosses hard surfaces (driveways, sidewalks, patios), we cut a clean channel and seal it properly. For gravel driveways, wire goes underneath. Conduit upgrades are available for added protection.
